During my internship at the Harris Museum & Art Gallery I worked on auditing and repackaging their historic sampler collection. It reignited my passion for stitching and I haven’t looked back! This lovely font was copied directly from a 1730 sampler in the Harris collection. After charting the pattern, I modified some of the letters to square them off. Then I embroidered them onto evenweave linen to make some really cute christmas ornaments for my aunt Nancy.

I'm a dye hard fan of textile history and come from a family of crafters. I'm interested in learning more about embroidery by trying out age old techniques with a contemporary twist. I hope you enjoy looking through my projects and that they inspire you to give stitching a try!
